I learnt something recently from my friend /mentor, Henry O.

Google has its own problems, ( don't ask me what). But what that implies is that don't base your blog or website revenue on only google adsense.

Basically promote some other affiliate programs.

There are so many out there such as Clickbank, etc.

You can always edit your template to add new areas to include these things.

So make your earning potentials broader.
