Email signature: This is by far the most effective way to advertise free online. Most free and paid email service allow you to setup a signature for your outgoing messages. This also has the advantage of creating a viral effect especially if you send out good free content / info which can in turn be forwarded to other people. And your signature will of course be seen by all.
Join forums and post: Postings can be as simple as just replying to any message in the forum and or sharing your knowledge. After a while, you will be allowed to advertise in some section of most forums. Never forget to set up your profile well to include your signatures at the bottom of your post.
Write and submit articles: If you are very good in an area you can join article websites and submit your articles for free. Just like forums, you are allowed to have a signature too which people that read your articles will see. Some good forums/article websites are www.warriorforum.com,www.ezinearticles.com,www.squidoo.com
Offline advertising: Never forget to advertise offline using print media, handbills,posters, banners, etc. They can really go a long way.

With so much said about using blogs to make money online especially with adsense, you need to be aware that it takes time to make money online.

Having said that i also need to advise you to have your website or blog online first and having good traffic before you think of adding adsense codes and other affiliate links.

This is so for two reasons..

If you start a fresh blog without any content or much content, google will know your plan and might ban you completely.
The most important reason is that there is no point putting adsense and affiliate links on your blog if no one is coming to it. So get traffic or visitors first then when you add your links/codes, they will be happy to click on some of them that are relevant to them.

Google has its own problems, ( don't ask me what). But what that implies is that don't base your blog or website revenue on only google adsense.

Basically promote some other affiliate programs.

There are so many out there such as Clickbank, etc.

You can always edit your template to add new areas to include these things.

So make your earning potentials broader.

So how do i start making money with blogs, you ask? Just follow these simple steps below...

Go to www.blogspot.com, and click on create blog.
Next choose a name for your blog or should i say follow the steps till you have successfully created your blogpage.
When done, you can simply post to your blog and click on view blog to see it. If you are satisfied, then you are set.
The next thing is to go to www.adsense.google.com and sign up for the adesense account. Once created, get your adsense code. The site is simple enough and besides you will be guided.
Then come back to your blog, click on Layout. You can arrange your page as you like for instance on the right hand side you can add up to 3 new page elements. These will be used for your adsense ads and any other info or ads you wish to put e.g clickbank, etc.
Once you have added the elements that you want, click on the one for adsense and enter your new adsense codes in the space provided.
Save and view your blog. Your adsense is now live.
Now to start making money you need to drive traffic to your blog. This can be done in several ways but the cost effective ways is registering at forums and contributing to discussions and also posting at free article submission sites online. A resource link back to your site can be provided for any who needs more information. When anyone then visits your blog, they may see ads they are interested in and click on it.
BINGO! Start earning cool cash online.

Note that your blog should be about something you love so you can always post to it and keep it updated.

Final note, how well you do is dependent on your passion that is how well you post and promote your blog.
